A home for a new chapter
Located in Granges-Paccot, in the canton of Fribourg, this complete 200m² villa renovation was imagined for a family entering a new phase of life.
The children are growing up, routines are evolving and a different rhythm naturally begins to emerge — one where family moments remain essential while the couple slowly rediscovers time together. The ambition was to create a home capable of embracing both: preserving connection while creating a softer, more intimate nest for this next chapter.
Bathed in natural light and built on strong architectural foundations, the house already offered generous proportions and open spaces with remarkable potential. The challenge was not to transform its structure, but to reveal its full identity.
While the existing spaces felt functional and bright, they lacked warmth, personality and a stronger visual language capable of reflecting the uniqueness of the family living within them. Storage needs, circulation challenges and the absence of an additional room also required thoughtful and intelligent solutions.
The project transformed the villa through a complete interior redesign — from the entrance, kitchen and living areas to the bedrooms — complemented by bespoke furniture designed specifically to shape volumes, optimize functionality and reinforce identity.
Inspired by a sophisticated, modern Scandinavian aesthetic, the interiors balance simplicity with emotional warmth. Natural fabrics, quartz, wood, paint finishes and custom MDF elements introduce texture, softness and visual harmony throughout the home.
Spaces were carefully optimized to support daily family life. Tailor-made storage solutions create a greater sense of fluidity and calm, while spatial interventions improve circulation and transform constraints into opportunities. Existing areas were reimagined to integrate new functions and create a more intuitive living experience.
Each room was designed to express the personality of those who inhabit it.
Warm, cocooning and elegant, the home unfolds as a place where textures, materials and light create a gentle sense of balance. More than a renovation, this project becomes an anchor for a family in evolution — a place of authenticity, serenity and belonging.
