Pic Pic
Interior design - apartment
RK Interiors completely reimagined this apartment in Geneva, located at Allée Pic-Pic in Petit-Saconnex, transforming the couple’s first home together into a warm, sophisticated and deeply personal retreat. More than a design project, this was the beginning of a new chapter — creating a home that reflects shared routines, future memories and a way of living centred around comfort, connection and wellbeing.
Although the apartment already offered an efficient layout and generous natural light, RK Interiors approached the project holistically, rethinking every detail of the living experience while respecting the qualities that already worked beautifully. The objective was not simply to redesign a space, but to create an atmosphere that felt inviting, emotional and genuinely lived in.
Inspired by nature and guided by a minimalist Japandi aesthetic, the concept balances elegance with warmth. A soft palette of white, beige, warm browns and terracotta tones creates calmness and character, while carefully introduced accents bring depth without overwhelming the minimalist spirit.
Materiality became central to the identity of the project. Oak wood, walnut details, natural fabrics and textured lime wash finishes introduce authenticity and sensory richness throughout the apartment. Layering textures and materials created a home that feels visually calm yet emotionally warm.
The entrance was redesigned to create a stronger sense of arrival and an immediate “wow” effect. Carefully selected furniture and spatial elements define the transition into the apartment and establish a memorable first impression from the moment guests enter.
Daily rituals played an important role in the design process. A comfortable and inviting television area was carefully designed to become a place for relaxation, connection and shared moments. Smart concealed storage solutions introduced greater functionality while maintaining visual simplicity and serenity.
Layered lighting and bold decorative fixtures enrich the atmosphere throughout the apartment, highlighting textures and creating warmth at different moments of the day. The balcony was also refreshed with greenery, new flooring and quality furnishings, extending comfort and connection with nature outdoors.
This apartment interior architecture project in Geneva reflects RK Interiors’ approach to luxury interior design in Switzerland: creating homes that are not only beautiful to look at, but spaces designed around emotion, wellbeing and everyday life. More than a home to be seen, this is a home designed to be lived in, felt and shared.
